A suburb in the City of Holroyd

Pemulwuy is a suburb created in 2004. It was carved out of the suburb of Greystanes and named after the Aboriginal guerilla leader of the early colonial period, who was shot by a colonist sailor in 1802 when there was a price on his head. It is part of the City of Holroyd.

Most of Prospect Hill now lies in this suburb. It includes the whole eastern ridge from the Lookout to the South Top; its northern slope down to the M4 Motorway; its eastern slope containing the housing developments of Nelson's Ridge and Lakeside and a small shopping mall, Pemulwuy Marketplace; and its southern slope down to the Lower Prospect Canal Reserve.

The industrial area of the Northern and Southern Employment Lands is a vast estate of very large sheds (warehouse and distribution facilities). This will fill the area inside the J-shaped ridge of Prospect Hill and it too lies in Pemulwuy.

Only the west ridge, with its two summits, Reservoir Hill and Water Tower Hill, lies in the suburb of Prospect (and the City of Blacktown) together with its western slopes and the whole of Prospect Reservoir. The boundary of the two suburbs runs north from near the Gap to follow the line of the west ridge, but not closely. Mostly it's a straight line drawn on a map.
