Portadown College 50-year Reunion 2010
Calling all students who started at Portadown College in 1953!
Most of us left in 1960 (although some left earlier) so 50 years have now passed.
in the Upper Gallery of: This is being organised after discussions between Ivan Weir, Marian (Mitchell) Spathaky, Michael Spathaky, Ed Anderson and a shadowy group who have been meeting somewhere in County Armagh every month for, well... about 50 years! Programme 10.30 a.m. onwards: Please register at our Welcome Desk in the Upper Gallery.
11 a.m. Morning tea/coffee and scones, followed by: 12.30 p.m. Lunch - informal to allow further mixing 2.00 p.m. George Woodman will talk about the life and career of his father. 3 p.m. Afternoon tea and shortbread - - further reminiscing 4.00 p.m. Visit to Portadown College - A tour of the old school buildings, guided by the Site Manager, Quinten Millar. (If you need a lift for this visit please ask on arrival and we will arrange it.) Cost approximately £20 per person, which includes the room hire charge and the refreshments listed above. Please pay on arrival. However we do need to know who is coming. So please decide soon and fill in the form below (or send the details on a page torn out of your jotter to Ivan Weir). Your details including email address will be kept confidential. Only your name will appear in the list of those attending. Bring a partner or friend if you wish. They will be shown on the list as "+1" See the list of those who have so far said they are definitely going to be there. Please bring any photographs or memorabilia with you and look forward to a great time catching up with everyone. Anyone who wishes to return to the Seagoe Hotel for further socialising is welcome to do so. The Upper Gallery will still be available and the bar will be open. Some of us will be having a meal at the Restaurant at about 6 pm and would welcome anyone who wishes to join us. We believe a few people who cannot make the main event will be turning up then.
